I have been unable to update my copy of SIW. It's a Techinician version and when I click on Check for Updates, I get the following:

SIW - Check for Updates

Thank you for your interest in new versions of SIW.
Cannot connect to DB: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (46)


Can anyone provide any help in solving my update problem.
