Ah, I updated those codecs from  http://www.free-codecs.com/djbcp_codec_pack_download.htm and now it works!

Many thanks Gabriel,

The siw-debug.exe is automatically rebuild every 4 hours.

I’ve added the 78766964 codec on my internal “list of bad of codecs” and I’m skipping it.

1-25D0 184927: CodecList.cpp-129 CodecList::GetListFromVFW Skipping XVIDVFW.DLL

SIW is not using DirectShow, it uses VFW (VideoForWindows) interface.

Okay, I have re-installed xvid.

DXDiag now works, output attached.

The SIW Debug version you sent me works, attached.

My SIW (latest) still fails.

I really appreciate your help.

It seems that something is wrong with your xvid drivers.

You have a bad driver.

Can you download again, please, https://www.gtopala.com/download/siw-debug/ and check the “Audio and Video Codecs”.

This version pops-up a dialog box with driver’s id (a hex value).

Please note the latest value before crash

Also, please send me the c:\siw_debug.txt file.

Thanks,

Gabriel Topala

Hmm, accessing Direct Show fails and causes the DXDiag tool to crash, it then asked to bypass Direct Show, I said yes and the info from that is attached.
