Hello.
I've pulled a report from a PC which is now, unfortunately, not at my company. I'm reviewing the report, and I found that SIW is showing Adobe Acrobat 5 in the Installed Programs section, but no serial number in the License area. I think that's because the PC doesn't actually have the full Acrobat, but has Reader. Here's the info from Installed Programs:
Adobe Acrobat 5.0
Publisher Adobe Systems, Inc.
Version 5.1
Date
Key Adobe Acrobat 5.0
Properties
UninstallString C:\WINDOWS\ISUNINST.EXE -f"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Acrobat 5.0\NT\Uninst.isu" -c"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Acrobat 5.0\NT\Uninst.dll"
DisplayName Adobe Acrobat 5.0
InstallSource C:\Documents and Settings\cmartin\Local Settings\Temp\pftE9~tmp\
VersionMinor 1
DisplayVersion 5.1
URLInfoAbout https://www.adobe.com/prodindex/acrobat/main.html
VersionMajor 5
ModifyPath "C:\Documents and Settings\cmartin\Local Settings\Temp\pftE9~tmp\Setup.exe"
Publisher Adobe Systems, Inc.
URLUpdateInfo https://www.adobe.com/prodindex/acrobat/main.html
HelpLink https://www.adobe.com/prodindex/acrobat/main.html
DisplayIcon C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 5.0\Reader\acrord32.exe,0
InstallLocation C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 5.0
UninstallPath C:\WINDOWS\ISUNINST.EXE -f"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Acrobat 5.0\NT\Uninst.isu" -c"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Acrobat 5.0\NT\Uninst.dll"
All other reports I've reviews have been distinguishing Reader from full Acrobat correctly, but those have been versions 8.0 and up.
I don't know if this is considered a bug, per se, but for licensing audits SIW should not be flagging Reader as Acrobat.
Am I correct in this thought process?
Thanks,
Dan
