I have 2 identical DELL T5500 computers.
One has 2 X5690 CPUs and the other one as 1.
Hyperthreading is enabled on both.
The 1 CPU PC reports this
Number of Sockets 1
Number of Physical Processors 1
Number of Cores per Processor 6
Number of Logical Processors 12
The 2 CPU PC reports this
Number of Sockets 2
Number of Physical Processors 2
Number of Cores per Processor 12
Number of Logical Processors 24
The logical processor values look correct as one PC as twice more.
It’s the number of cores per processors that seem off
Why does 1 have 6 and the other 12? Maybe its not cores per processor but total cores.
