I recently had the credit card changed that I registered my SIW Technicians License with. 
My license does not renew until January. I don't find any sign in or an account login where I can change the payment method. 

Do I need to change it, or will I be able to change it when the old card fails in January?

I don't keep customer information.
FastSpring (order processor) manages all transactions.
Two weeks before the renewal date, FastSpring will send you an email with a link to cancel or renew your subscription.
That link can be used to change the payment method.
Or, if you send me an email with your order number, and I will ask FastSpring to send that link now.
