I lose control of the mouse soon after starting SIW ... IF .. I allow the mouse to wander over the small SIW banner before it disappears.
After that has disappeared, SIW behaves correctly.
But if the mouse goes onto the banner, it freezes within a few seconds and I have to reboot.

Windows Pro 64 10 1607 on a Thinkpad T560 16GB with both today's update to SIW (29 October) and the immediately preceding version.
I think the problem arose before Creator 1607 was installed but I did not investigate it then.

Any tips to offer?

Sorry, I don't understand. What "small SIW banner"?
Who freezes? The mouse? SIW? Your computer?
Can you post a screenshot?
