SIW 2016 v6.4.0928 freezes Windows 10
#1

I have bought and installed
SIW 2016 v6.4.0928 Pro Edition
on my Windows 10 PC (Home Edition).
Unfortunately it freezes the system.
Drivers are ok according to  "C:\Program Files (x86)\DriverUpdate\"
Either after selecting a topic and then trying to print the result
or after selecting a second topic .
I've also produced 3 debug sessions: see attached zip-archive.
The first with time stamp in the file names is a simple test:
start SIW debug and end it.
The second with 'print' in the file names results from the test
with trying to print a result.
The third with SystemSymmary in the file names results from
selecting a second topic.
Each time after the freeze I had to Switch off the Notebook:
no reaction e.g. in Task Manager.
Thanks in advance for all help and suggestions.
Regards Burkhard

5. Status of the WMI: compmgmt.msc,  Looks ok.
6.   "C:\Program Files (x86)\DriverUpdate\" did already update
     outdated drivers
7.   Unfortunately I can't find a file siw.ini.
siw.exe sits in C:\Program Files (x86)\SIW Pro Edition.
8.   see DxDiag.txt  >  208
9.   see FRANZIROTH.txt  >  209
.txt DxDiag.txt Size: 79.15 KB  Downloads: 21

.txt FRANZIROTH2.txt Size: 34.69 KB  Downloads: 16

Thanks again

Please download siw.ini from https://www.gtopala.com/download/siw.ini and copy it to C:\Program Files (x86)\SIW Pro Edition folder.

It seems,  with CheckVM=1 , the Problem reoccurs.
What does that mean?
Thanks again!

Check for Virtual Machines (Hyper-V, VMware, Virtual Box, etc.)
Please run SIW with CheckVM=0 until next SIW build (planned for mid-February)

Thanks for the advice.
Further testing revealed that with the print Option the Problem also
reoccurs with "UseProcessor=1".  Therefore I shall leave that set to 0 too.
Nevertheless thanks again for this very useful tool.
